I consider myself lucky to have lived out of a van with these guys multiple times and in multiple forms… I now want all of you to rethink what “luck” smells like.
The Gradients have finally brought us a full length album. It’s self titled and it’s dope. These guys are one of the few on my list of born and bred Brooklyn bands that truly capture a sense of the east coast punk I went through puberty listening to. The album was recorded at The Silent Barn by Scott Andrews who you can catch playing bass in Heeney on Thursday (see below).
Stream the album and go read a short interview from tha God/Dog, J Boxer, over on Impose. Take note he is in 4 other bands. If you haven’t checked out said other bands before obviously that’s the next wave of your day following this one. And the final wave, which will be held at Shea Stadium this Thursday and Friday night, features sets from The Gradients and many other unreasonably good bands (like Heeney).
